Not since a plane crashed into our house. Someone left the landing light on.

It depends! Normally no but in case of bad weather then i leave an outside light on because my path is a bit tricky and when on holiday i have a switch to turn the lights on every so often so as to discourage any eventual burglars. I cannot sleep with a light on! I need total darkness or else my dogs think it's time to get up and wake me first sign of light!!!

For my little girl.
She has been through so many operations in her life, that she needs something for assurance, I guess.
Plus, my bathroom is by the basement door, (side by side), so my wife is always afraid that some one will mistaken one door for the other...(I never could figure this one out, since we have been in the house for so many years, you know it by heart, and since no one drinks or is in a "sodden state", everyone has thier own mind, I just dont see the need...hmmm).
So, I leave a light on for the wife an kids.
(Personally I like a dark house when I sleep).

Yep - always been afraid of the dark so I have a small night light in the hall between the bedroom and bathroom.

When I was young I use too because I was afraid of ghosts and monsters. But now I sleep with the light off as I can't sleep with it on.

Yes, I always leave one light on somewhere in the house. Saves you from tripping in the dark and also keeps the ghosts away!!! hehehe ;-)

yes i always leave the loo light on and the tv on i cant sleep unless i have the tv on and yes i am scared of the dark lol

No, the darker the better as far as I'm concerned, though I do have little glo in the dark things stuck in strategic places so I don't bang into things, especially with my shins!

Just the motion detector in the back yard.
It makes it easier when the dog needs to go outside at night.
That and it helps deter crime.
