I should think so! As a registered nurse and bahaviourist i have to abide by a code of practice and ethics to keep my registration, ensure good practice, that make me a professional. But this doesn't mean that i do not have to act professionally as well! If i did then i would be a poor professional!

acting professionally does not make a professional. A professional act professionally.

absolutely, being professional means you do exactly what like other real professional do according to the rules or ethics that is expected from professional while acting professional is just an imitation but he/she doesn't know why he/she did what they do.

Dr. House on HOUSE ME that show on fox is a professional but he does not act professionally lol!

However... BEING implies you are... and you will by your nature ACT professionally. However... Acting Professionally, means you may be doing it BY ROTE... and not necessarily... because you understand what it means.
