Before they look to Him, they must be convicted by the Holy Spirit who will show them their need to be saved. That must take place first. When they receive Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior, He becomes a friend that is closer than a brother or any other. Many times I have told Him of my needs which I was unable to take care of myself. He used people to meet them. How wonderful to have a God that will never leave me nor forsake me in my darkest hour when no help was in sight. His grace and mercy made everything all right.

Because they are fooled into non-belief by the Devil or think that God's wisdom or strength has faded. But God is the same as he was when he made the earth he is unchanging. We are the ones who change. People don't take the time to build a relationship with him or try to hear his voice. They think they can look upon MAN for answers, when in fact they are being let by the devil.
In responce to the one who said "Because the churches answers are wrong" AGAIN THAT is looking to man for answer. To receive guidance by the Lord you have to go into prayer. Go somewhere in private and pray. Ask for what you want be specific God gives what you ask for. And don't be surprized it the answer you receive isn't what you think is best. He is wiser then we and he has his own timing. So it may not be what YOU think is best or WHEN you think is best. Just like a child the question the intelligence of the parent. And that is what he is the Father of all fathers. We are just children. He is the all knowing and we are still growing.

There are many reasons why people do not look to Jesus Christ as much as they did before. Among the reasons are :
* People lack faith
* They may not have heard the Gospel (good news)
* Some experience has challenged their faith and belief.
Jesus is faithful, loving and dependable. He has available in himself all we need to solve all of our problems.
All he needs is for us to ask Him for help and for us to tell others how good He is!

Well maybe because of all this pain and suffering in the world as it is right now, maybe they don't believe there is such a thing as Jesus Christ.

They should, but for some reason, people have gotten away from Jesus and God. We need a return to our faith. Have a good day.

I think it is because so many have no faith or morals anymore. Not many teach thier children about Jesus, or the things he taught and this is very sad for all of us.

people don't feel it is in any way relative to their lives. if it was put into a straight forward, non contradictory edition that wasn't in ye olde english, people might start looking at it. it would probably be considerably shorter too.

I am not so sure at all, I think nowadays us, humans, have less time on religion then ever before.
The technology is moving so fast that we don't have time for that.
faith is being eroded with technology
