If you are in a University who decides that donations from a particular interest outweigh a balanced education, then I would prefer you not be in politics.

University education can be great - but with such a busy class/party schedule and schools with agendas - most students are ill read outside of school. I hope that whatever your professor deems "unsuitable" you read to check him/her. Why? Ward Churchill (Univ of Colorado - Boulder). Great example. Might as well be Babs (Barbara Streisand) teaching a class.

University education is great - just don't believe the hype - find out for yourself.... you might just find that you can create your own political party. Getting involved is fine - just don't go off of what everyone else is doing - fine your own sweet spot. It's difficult - but worth it.

PS Liberal arts alone will make you a whiner - spice it with business and some engineering - get the other side of the coin.
