Actually, it is colder in the city than it is in the winter. Now, where did you get that? I thought only my dad said things like that.

It depends on location. A foggy summer along the coast can be very chilly. Inland a few miles and summer can be hot and sunny.
Summer in the mountains can be nice, although chilly in the mornings and at night.
Summer temperatures vary a lot based on geography.
