I agree, such an horrific event like that 12 months ago, cries out for a public enquiry. The government OWE it to the victims and their families!

Why do they have to be hiding anything? What would a public inquiry discover that we don't already know? Four fanatics destroyed themselves and many innocent people because of religion, and it's certainly necessary to understand the problem so we can reduce the risk of it happening again, but that's a subject for academic study rather than a public inquiry.

Is it the wost attack on British soil? What about the IRA or anything like that?
And no other parties have called for inquiries.
As for peace time, our army is out in Iraq, where it isn't peaceful, which is why the bombers did this in the first place! Im not condoning it at all, I just think your question is wrong

Why should there be one? There was,nt any when those good christian people of the IRA blew the heart out of London and Birmingham. Nothing to hide, we all know who did it so whats the point of making barristers £5 million pound each on the back of other peoples grief?
