Do people think that all americans are like the ones they see?

They are wuick to say "Americans are so childish and war hungry" In a country of almost 300million people it is kind of irrational to put that brand on all those people that you have not met or had a conversation with.

Look we are not all war mongers here.
What you see on the television is the government types and the ones that the media wish the world to see.
If we have to fight we will, but most of us really don't like to see it.
We do not go around looking for war, that's seems to be the evil government types job. Saying that all Americans are war hungry is a stereotype that is just plain false.

It is an over statement to say that ALL people stereotype Americans, however, many do share the same sentiments. I've been living in Europe for the summer and I am lectured on nearly a daily basis about the current administration and Americans in general. They, like us, are a product of their media. In this case, most media around the world is a bit biased against Americans and the US though they often are a bit closer to the truth than what we get at home.

i personally hate this stupid unneeded war. any war for that matter. and i think it's cause our "freedom of speech" tends to make us put our own foot in our mouths.

kinda hard to listen to the people that are actually saying something when everyone else is just flapping their traps!
