I started my period on my 8th birthday. Yeah happy birthday to me huh? Well, before that I had everything else to go along with woman hood. So go ahead and shave her legs. It's not to early and don't forget the armpits. haha You don't want her being known as the hairy girl in class and being teased do you? When I started growning hair on my legs and under my arms I asked my mom when I was supposed to start shaving. She said "If the hair bothers you baby, then that's the time".

Does your daughter have alot of friends? The reason i am asking is if not, something stupid like hairy legs can be the cause...sad but true. Kids are so cruel these days and seek out reasons to make fun of eachother. If she doesnt seem to be self conscious about it, then wait. She will be self conscious if other people are pointing it out to her and making fun of her for it. If she is, by all means shave away! It will boost her self esteem and confidence...something all gilrs need no matter what their age.

Wait until she asks you about it. Don't put anymore pressure on her looks than necessary at this early age. Most 9 yr. olds don't shave. Ignore it for the moment.

9 years is a bit early.. you should wait till she's about 10-11.. only let her shave them if all her other friends shave or if she asks because then it means that its getting embarrassing..
hope it helps!

Let it be. Monitor the situation. Take action if it prolonged until she is 13 or 14.
