sounds like a kid napping. You have just as much parental rights as does your long time girl friend if youv'e got joint custody. The grandmother can be arrested for kid napping and possible child endangerment. Go to the school that your child attended and tell them that your child has been kidnapped by the old b***h and get the place where they transferred the records too. And NO she has NO right to take off with your kid. You need to call the police and do it ASAP.

She sounds odd, that's for sure. Is there anything wrong with her? Mentally I mean...And I am not asking to be rude, she just sounds very weird. Well, First things first, discuss this whole problem with your boyfriend. Try not to make it sound as though you are insulting his mother, because he may get defensive. Explain in a polite way that you do not appreciate some of the things she does, and if he would be willing to tell her to stop. He most likely will agree to talk with her because I can't imagine that he is happy with the situation either. If he does not want to discuss this with his mother, then I suppose you will have to. Which is terrible because you shouldn't have to. The main thing is to be polite. She is still his mother, no matter what relationship they may have. If you can't work this out, then maybe you two should consider moving back. You don't want to deal with this for the rest of your life, unless it gets better. Good Luck with this...I know first hand how annoying Mother in laws can be!

If you have joint custody, and the child was removed without your consent from the area stipulated in the court order, she is in violation of the order and can be charged with kidnapping.Get to a police station fast. And make sure that the FBI is informed. If she crosses a state line with the child, it is a federal offense

this is difficult to follow .. but if you are the legal father .. & you live in Canada or USA you have rights to.
If your son is in Brazil .. you may have to contact authorities there to find out what your rights are..good luck.

YES!

If she were an EX-WIFE... and you had a DIVORCE decree that stipulated a radius... You'd be FINE.

But as it is... Your lack of commitment to her... has made her a FREE AGENT... and this is AMERICA... she can go wherever she pleases.

If it's that important... Move to clse to where she's going.
