Voting is a right that YOU have in this country and it allows you to have your voice heard. Think of all the people in other countries that do not have the right to vote. Think of the people in this country that, at one time, did not have the RIGHT to vote. The voter system is not perfect, and it never was, but with enough votes the will of the people are heard.

Not a heck of a lot. In a system as in the US with electoral colleges and easily redistrictable zones, the majority rule concept is easily manipulated and you can end up with a representative / president that was elected by a minority. There are some websites that will explain it in mathematical terms and provide the proof.

JUST GIVES THE GOVERNMENT MORE PRACTICE AT MANIPULATING STATISTICS .
IT ALSO GIVES THE LOCAL GOVERNOR AN OPORTUNITY TO GIVE HIS COUSIN,GOLF BUDDY,MECHANIC,WIFE'S "SPECIAL" LITTLE BROTHER......AN EASY PAYCHEQUE .
