People suffer unjustly all over the world everyday. Though I hate that such things as 911 have happened, I don't believe the people who suffered from 911 deserve any more than anyone else.
I am an American by birth.

I didn't. There are terrorist bombings like every other day now, and I think that b/c it happened in Europe it was made a much larger deal than the attacks in Israel or the Middle East. I know people died, but the same amount of people have died in other attacks. I'm not even able to remember when this happened, it just doesn't seem as important as others make it out to be. I'm sorry, but the attacks didn't impact me in the same way they impacted you. I don't do the silence bit for 9/11 either.

You shouldn't need a two minutes silence to have to remember what happened, it has been on my mind on and off for a year. It affects us all. A couple of years ago the biggest problem with me going away to work was having to leave my family but now I have to stand back and weigh up the risks involved with going to certain places.
I apologise because I am not American like you asked but a Brit over here working. There is plenty of coverage of the anniversary of the bombings, so the Yanks can't plead ignorance (not that they ever will).
I had to write this because the answer given by Dr. Dee really p***ed me off, what an ignorant a**hole!!! Dr. Dee is the type who thinks the sun shines out of their ****'s and can't understand why the WHOLE world wants to wipe them out. Who cares if 9/11 had more casualties? Tell that to each of the families hit. But then again America has to have the biggest catastrophe than anyone else, along with everything else, doesn't it????

Didn't know anything about the 2 minutes of silence for 7/7. I would certainly participate. In fact, I think the two towers burning and blowing up should be shown on television EVERY DAY. That's what people should wake up to. LOOK AT WHAT HAPPENED! REMEMBER! DO NOT TURN A BLIND EYE AND ALLOW IT AGAIN!
And God bless the hero's in those tragedies that lost their lives trying to save others.

Unless I was snoring, yes. Time zones and all that.
Regrettably our press didn't bother mentioning it, or I would have. Probably would have been snoring by your time, but would have had the two minutes of silence in mine. What time is it supposed to be for that, I would like to respect it.

To those that didn't see it... No, I didn't know about the two minutes of silence. No, I don't watch TV, and Internet news did not carry it.
Yes, I gave those two minutes of silence today at what was probably a random time, because I did not know when to do it.
And yes, I do care. The attacks in London where equally tragic as the ones in New York, regardless of numbers of victims.
In short, yes, Americans DO care. Thanks for listening.

Yes I did cause I wanted to. I live in the UK to and I do the 9/11 aswell. I could say a few more words but I wont as we have to be nice one here. A few people must feel the same as me about what happened.

Sorry, because of my work schedule and the time difference I was sleeping during the 2 minutes, but rest assured I and most Americans have deep feelings for the UK. After all, we fought together in WWI WWII and now in Iraq.

I don't mean this to sound insensitive but the only reason i do silences is because if you don't everyone else looks at you like ****. I personally don't see the point people paid there respects at the funerals and for weeks afterwards. being quiet for a couple of minutes ain't gonna bring them back.

I was asleep a couple of minutes ago. Got online to pay the electric bill. I will continue to pray for those who lose their lives daily by acts of terrorism. I rarely even watch the news now because of so much blood shed. I don't just remember them today, but everyday.
