Because they are show offs who aren't disciplined enough.
They have no proper style of play and are quick to find faults with others rather than look at themselves.

cos the english press often overrate their team. yes they do have a good team but not good enough to win. frankly, wayne rooney was too much of a hype. have u ever wondered why most english players dont perform well abroad?

Because we don't play good enough football.
We have good enough players, but you have to concede that we played crap all the way through the tournament.
We were lucky to get as far as we did, really.
