President Bush Answers Questions On His Birthday

July 6, 2006 10:39 p.m. EST

Matthew Borghese - All Headline News Staff Writer
Washington, D.C. (AHN) - In the first presidential interview from the Blue Room of the White House, Commander in Chief George Bush, with his wife, the First Lady Laura Bush, talk with CNN's Larry King about the issues facing the nation's leader on his 60th birthday.

The President has talked about the missile launches from North Korea, saying the communist nation needs to "get some sense" and feed his "starving people." When King asked if the U.S. was prepared to shoot the missile out of the sky if it headed towards America, the President says "absolutely." However, the President says intelligence quickly knew the missile was a failed launch, and posed no threat.

President Bush spoke about the War on Terror, and the troops in Iraq, and the First Lady says she doesn't lose any sleep over the conflict, while both maintain the invasion was the right thing to do.

On the environment, President Bush says his administration has invested "a lot to deal with green house cases," including "spending money for clean coal technologies."
