I have heard the big bang described as a sudden explosion of dense matter the approximate size of a marble. My question is, where did the marble come from? What was before that?

Actually I believe the theory goes along lines that the universe started as a single point; smaller than an atom. At this moment there no was matter as such, but there was a lot of energy. As the universe expanded from this single point, a lot of the energy was drawn out and very quickly turned into matter.

In the very early stages of the universe the was no time or space and they were created and as the universe unfolded.

What existed before the single point? No one knows and we can only guess.

Whatever your theory is it would be as good as anyone else's.

As Agnosticism is the own philosophy of Thomas Huxley and also you do not trust him - why are you utilising the information Agnostic in this context? Are you attempting to be deceptive, or are you in ordinary words ignorant? Catholics are really Agnostic - in what way? Do you brush aside the Gods revealed by using guy, like Jesus? If someone ask you - does existence have purpose - do you're saying certain, or do you declare lack of understanding like I do? you word i'm an Agnostic, you're a Theist - I see absolutely the truth claimed by using the Catholic Church as evil. did you comprehend that the information Agnostic translates to - Anti-comprehend-it-all? Dare to make certain who Huxley reported the comprehend-it-alls were? In 1600 the Catholic Church burned Giordano Bruno on the stake a martyr of technological know-how. on the four-hundredth anniversary of Bruno's lack of existence, in 2000, Cardinal Angelo Sodano declared Bruno's lack of existence to be a "unhappy episode" yet, in spite of his remorseful about, he defended Bruno's prosecutors, conserving that the Inquisitors "had the opt to serve freedom and promote the difficulty-free reliable" between the inquisitors changed into none except that giant Vicar of Christ, Pope Paul V who ex-communicated the completed authorities of Venice for refusing to launch 2 priest convicted of homicide. looks to me that now as then, that your Catholic Church changed into condemning reliable adult men, and placing loose the to blame.
