Some doctors also practice family medicine as well. You need to just look in a phone book or online. What do you need to go for? If it's just a check up, you need to make an apointment for a well woman exam. If it's for a problem, birthcontrol or any other reason you will just need to let the person you make the appointment with know. If you already have a family doctor you could also call their office and ask them to recommend you to a OBGYN.

In trying to see if I could find out anything else about you, I checked your profile and your previous questions....Now, knowing that you are 17, a virgin, and starting to experience sexual contact.....I would first suggest to you....
Contact your local health department, and make an appointment to be put on birth control. When you go to this appointment, you will be asked health questions and also be given a procedure called a "pelvic exam". It doesn't hurt, so don't be afraid! They will use a little instrument to look inside and a long cotton swab to take a sample of your vaginal fluid. It will be testd for bacteria and such, and if there is a problem, they will treat it accordingly! You can also ask the nurses or doctors ANYTHING you have a concern about. You will also need to have follow-up appointments just to ensure you are healthy. One of the best things is that they monitor you for sexually transmitted disease and forms of female gynelogical cancer and early detection is sooo important! This is probably the best place for you to start. Learning how to watch yourself for signs of trouble will all follow once you start here!
As for the amount of discharge you are having...It is probably happening because you are getting sexually mature and your boyfriend is touching you somewhere that your not used to being touched! Heavy, uncomfortable discharge that has a bad smell, a strange color or causes an itch, is a sign of infection...if any of that is going on, get it checked out quickly! If not, its probably what I mentioned earlier...your sexuality is being "woken up".
As for your other question...the labia and clitoris...It is perfectly normal to have larger labia, some womens are even different shades of color ranging from pink to purple to black! The clitoris shouldn't be hard to find ...provided you know where to look! When looking in a mirror at yourself, just below where your outer lips meet , but above your "opening" or vaginal canal is a little "hood" of tissue which covers and prtects the clitoris from friction....lift it up....there it is! the little nub underneath that tissue is the "button" you seek! Be careful with it! Its hidden under there for a reason! It is the absolutely most sensitive place on your sexual parts!
With all that said, I want you to go to this link from now on and find the answer to any of your questions about your body or sex..... although it is great to get advice from peers, If you don't know the answer to your questions, how do you know for sure that the advice you get from strangers is always complete or correct? The link I'm giving you is replied to and written by physicians and counselors. I have a teenage daughter who I want to be well informed! I use this link and offer it to others every chance I get....You'll be glad to know it is there! Good Luck , Hon, and please practice safe sex......

If you have a PCP (primary care physican), he or she could recommend one for you in your area. If you do not have one, you can also go to your local health department, where it's free or a small fee.
