She might be depressed. Depression makes you sleep more. Or just maybe tired and stressed from life, her job, etc.
Anything you can do to help I'm sure she would appreciate it: vaccum the floor, do the dishes, take out the garbage.
Write her a little note and leave it on her pillow--Dear Mom, I love you and feel neglected, why do you sleep so much?
Good Luck!

Constant sleeping is a sign of depression. You should go for a walk if you feel sleepy. Do something that will keep you occupied until bed time.
You do not want to fall into a pattern of sleeping all the time.

I agree w JustAskJoan... U hv to do sumthin to prevent ur mom frm sleepin all day or for most of her life.. If coffee doesnt work, try talkin w her or do sum active activity to keep her goin.. At the same tym it might her see dat u're concern abt her & care alot as a daughter... If not it maybe a sign of a more serious medical condition, get her to see the doc den.. Gd Luck!

maybe your Mom is depressed about something.
when people are upset or depressed about something they sleep alot so that they don't have to deal w/ what is
upsetting them. ask her if she's ok & if she needs to talk
about anything. If she keeps this up for a long time you
should ask her to see a Dr. & let her know you are
worried about her.
Unless she's got the flu-then let her sleep so she can get
better quickly.
Hope she's ok, Summer time Mom

Make her a pot of coffee, and tell her you need her to wake up to take care of you.
