Why do some women shave their eyebrows off and then draw them back on (often with humourous results)?

my friends were having a water fight out side our work place and one of the friends had drawn on eye brows and the other friend threw water at the other and the eye brows dripped of so i dont think its a good idea, and another girl got on to a bus once and i don't think she realised that she had smudged her drwan on eye brows, she looked SO funny ha ha ha ha hah aha haaaaaaa, x

rofl - it is funny. Ok, they do it because they like and have been trained to think that it is a better look. There are some ladies who do it because they have very little or no hair as eyebrows as it is and what to apear "normal". They also might have plucked to many and so decided to paint them on. You never really know what the reason is for a person's actions unless you ask. As funny as it is, you might be laughing at a cancer patient that lost all eyebrows in her fight for life.

Make up is suppose to be something at accents a women, not shines a beaming light on her... it just does not always work that way.

Yep think they over pluck them and they dont grow back. Also some of their eyebrows may not have much hair so they are not dark enough so I guess to make it look more even they pluck it all and then draw or in the case of Lea tattoo them on. She looks permanently surprised.

Yup, they shave them then draw them back on and I dont get it as they do normally just draw what appears to be a single line. no ones eyebrows are that thin!!!!!

Some women even go as far as removing them then having them tatooed on so they just have to keep plucking them every few weeks.

Why, why why why. All those who do this heed my words. YOU LOOK STUPID!!!! Comical! Fake! funny! NOT ATTRACTIVE!

Your natural eyebrows follow a good line, removing them and drawing them back on thinner and higher up is just weird.

I know - it is hideous! I think that some women actually wanna change the natural shape of their eyebrows and the only way that they can do that is by plucking them off and the penciling in the new shape. Look so silly.

Surely not!?!?
I think sometimes people can get a but tweezer happy though!
There's nothin worse than realising you've just gone too far with the tweezers.... A lesson I learned long ago!!
I think waxing is the way to go though, don't do it yourself though girls unless you really know what you're doing... A lesson I learned long ago.... Does anyone else see a pattern forming!?!? (lol)

I'm guessing, the idea that this ritual of scraping one's eyebrows off one's face and replacing them with that of a colour from a lovely collection of Crayola (tm) crayons makes them more attractive has been planted in their brain subconsciously. Where this idea came from i'm not quite sure....it's possible it could have been Pete Burns, Micheal Jackson or the inspiration may have quite possibly come from this nifty creation here:

I don't know but have you ever seen a woman draw her eyebrows back on and look surprised? I find that funny or even draw them way too long or even just a straight line across.........lol...... we women do the darndest things nowadays with our appearance.

Because it is easier and also less painful to shave them off completely and then draw them on again. I agree, it's not always particularly skillful, but then again...

ok everyone always say ur eyes are the window to ur soul
and if ur eyes are the window then your eyebrows are the curtains. so why in the world do pple shave them off its really quite stupid(but quite hilarious!!) but i guess in the world of woman nothing is really offlimits.

Yeah, often times they end up looking like a deranged clown from hell. Especially, if they draw em in black and wear bright red lipstick.
