I read somewhere that men will get extinct before woman do. Is it true?

I read that in a science fiction novel years ago. Its an interesting idea. In theory, this can be done but we certainly don't have the science for it now. The theory is that you can implant chromosomes into an egg so women could have new babies without men. The drawback is the loss of genetic diversity which endanger us as a species. Cute theory, bad idea to do it.

The data coming out of cloning shows we don't have enough knowledge to do this safely. Dolly, the cloned sheep, had massive health problems that the sheep she was cloned from never had. Also, there is new data indicating the importance of RNA data passed by the mother during gestation is greater than previously believed. We still have a lot to learn.
