i dont have a problem with approaching girls and being myself but they end up becoming friends then too good a friend and they start thinking of me as a big bro i guess i dont know when to take that extra step to know if they are intrested

They don't like it if you are a pushover. They usually like a man who will stand up to them. They often test you. I think that they very quickly pidgeon-hole you. You have to come onto them, so that they have the opportunity of turning you down. At least they know that you are a normal guy. If you behave like a brother/friend that's the pidgeon hole that you go into. I have seen it too many times.

I'm older, and I did the same thing you do. You are too nice at first in order to get them to be your friend, well, I learned that doesn't work, because then you are just like a gay guy to them, and you won't get them to bed. You have to be kind of stand offish to girls, and maybe buy them a soft drink or something, then ignore them for a few days. Let them think about it, and they will make themselves available if they like you. Remember an important thing, don't do it to more than one at a time, they have a way to find out if you've flirted with someone other than them .
