Shoes on a rub...?

I've got my school prom tonight but I have a big rub on my foot, right by where my shoes go. I've tried them on and they push against it,, its very sore. plasters all come off within a couple of minutes so i don;t know what to do?

Try a product called Moleskin. You should be able to it in the foot care aisle along side insoles and other foot care items. You don't stick it on your rub but, in the shoe itself where it would press against the rub. You can then wear a bandage on the rub without worry of it coming off.
