No, I am not bummed that Germany is out, I am bummed that Italy is in because they didn't deserve to even get to the round of 8, they have been cheating their way through this whole tournament. I would rahter have germany in and italy out.

Yes!! I absolutely LOVE the German team. The players don't play dirty. They don't act like they are hurt just so that they can have an advantage over the opposing team - which is a rare characteristic. They are also a brilliant all-around team. Podolski is a really good, young player and their captain, Ballack, is really, really versatile.
The only reason why they aren't in the finals is because luck just wasn't on their side in the game against Italy. If the game was to go into shoot outs, they would've definately won. Germany really does deserve to win the world cup.
Sigh.......I hope they win against Portugal, at least.

It's a game and the best one got through. I feel sorry for the country though. It would have been nice for them to get the cup since reunification. Ah well, it is only a game.

I am big time disappointed in them! They did so well and tried so hard until the end! Felt that Ballack could have contributed more...but then again he had an injury so...
