Brazil and France have only played 3 (Three) times against each other in World Cups. France won twice (in 1986 and 1988), Brazil won once (in 1958).
Brazil doesn't always lose to France.

They have played each other 4 times with France winning 2 Brazil 1 with 1 draw (which France won on Penalties).
Brazil's win was in 1958 in Sweden which'll make it at least 52 years since Brazil beat France.

Had France played as they did last night against Brazil ... They would have lost! Why do they always seem to lose to France? Probably because they get on the pitch and think to themselves that it could be a case of history repeating itself so their confidence hit a low. Then France can have great games too just as they can poor ones and it seems Brazil always ends up at meeting them when they elect to br brilliant!

I think its amzing they lost to France. I mean if it was Italy i would understand but France? France is good team but not better than Italy but i have a feeling they will win the World cup dis year. And razil doesn't lose to France that much before the match brazil had not been beaten by france in like 16 years.

That's not true, Brazil won the 2002 world cup and the last game was against France.

it might be the different playing style of both the teams. europeon team has different style and south american teams have different styles.brazil would better know how to defeat or tackle south american team and viceversa.
it might be possible that brazil always take france forgranted and france take brazil very serious.
perhaps france style of playing is difficult for brazilian to adjust in.
coaches of france are better and they make better strategy against brazil
perhaps brazilia attack is not that much good as much the attack of france.
brazil pay less attention to defense where as france pay equal attentions in both fields.
france's player phsique and height is far better than brazil so brazil feels difficulty to keep possession of the ball.
it might be the matter of luck always that france always beat brazil.
brazil is one of y favourite team.

its a deja vu . Brazil was a bit below par. They should have introduced Adriano and
Robinho before conceading goal . which was crucial , & might have changed games fate . France scored & turned in to a 6 hard manmarking defenders ( a positive side of Viera & Makalele ) & others marked well too . and Brazil lost due to tactics .
But Zidane was crucial , lone master in midfield , due to him brazil couldn't dominate .
Hats off to a legend for ever , Zinedine Yazid Zidane .
