I currently wear boxers, but I saw my friend wearing boxer briefs and think that they look more confortable for what I do daily. Now I want to buy some, how do I get my mom/dad to take me to the store so I can buy them?

Just go buy them yourself. They don't care what you are wearing, they just want you wearing something to protect your little package. Go to the store and pick some up. You don't need someones permission.

From your question it sounds like you are young, probably a teenager. It's normal for you to feel a little embarrassed about a situation such as this at your age. Don't worry though, there's no reason for you to feel akward about asking your parents for this. Just let them know you want to try boxer briefs.

Just let them know what U want.Nothing wrong by choosing
your own underwear.I'm let my parent know what I want and what I need.Even I'm been asked to my mom about masturbation
matter.So don't U feel embarrassing front of your's parent.

just tell them u want sum different underwear. i dont think they will care as long as it isnt like a thong or sumthing.tell her u grew out of them or sumthing like that
