Unfortunately it is impossible for zidane to carry on. The guy although skillful is gettin old and as the circle of life continues another legend will replace him that new person is Ribbery.

Zidane has served his country with pride and honour. And his time to retire for good should be after this world cup.

I believe he announced his retirement from Internationals after this World Cup. Even though he's still good enough now, he'll be 38 in 2010 so now's the right time to quit and give France enough time to develop a new team for next World Cup.

If he wins the world cup with France on Sunday, I think it's the good time to stop his carreer.
It's better to stop when you are in the submit of your art.
And he begins to be old for a football player.

He's already 33 completed! That's a right decision any good player has to take.

Ask him. I don't care.

If he wants to play next time, he can.
If France wins (not likely), he should resign though...end on a high note.

Yes. But first he has to actually win the worldcup (for the second time).
There is an Italian team that will do its utmost to win it for their country.
