The Honda Civic ...

It's as reliable as a Japanese car can get.

My first few cars were Honda's. Started off with a 1985 mid model CRX. Flat up loved the car and beat it silly as well. Also had many many Accords.

The only problem with Honda is at times, specially fresh out of HS and not having cash flow, repairs can get expensive. Few hundred for a CV joint, etc.

American cars are cheaper to repair but for $5300 I wouldn't trust an American car without it having to be repaired first.

So in saying that I would have to lean towards the Civic. The Acura will most likely be a few bucks more on insurance and the parts will be a bit more as well. The Corolla is a good car, gones long and hard and can easily see 200,000 miles but it is a very drab plain car. The Eclipse I would stay away from as I work around cars and I see these things always beat on, falling apart, molding over, etc. More problems then good points.

If you are going to live on a campus though, you might want to think Corolla so it blends in and does not catch the attention of a thief. A Civic does draw attention as it is known as a hot car.

Civic and Corolla are top rated and reliable and prone to give you the most for your money, including a higher level of satisfaction over maintenance costs, etc.

everyone likes those Hondas but repairing them when they do break is expensive. The cheapest reliable car on your list is that Toyota Corolla - they run forever.

Get a Honda they last longer and if you want to change up the look later they have the most kits available. Plus they get good gas mileage.
