I think she will not become queen because she is divorced.

As a result of her marriage she is a member of the House of Windsor and if she required a surname she could use 'Windsor' if necessary. She did not retain her previous name of 'Parker-Bowles' although sometimes the media refers to her as the 'former Camilla Parker-Bowles'.

When Charles becomes King, Camilla will legally be Queen. It has been announced that she will be known as HRH Princess Consort, however she will still be Charles' queen (in all but name) regardless of this announcement.

In theory she is not actually married to Charles since the Church of England officially does not recognise divorce. Even though Charles and Diana divorced her death makes him a widower and free to marry under the premise that marriage is 'until death do us part'. Camilla, on the other hand, is a divorcee and as Charles will become the titular head of the Church of England when he ascends the throne he is in Rather an invidious position. Don't forget that his great uncle Edward VIII had to abdicate when he wished to marry Wallis Simpson, a divorcee and his Aunt, Margaret was not allowed to marry her lover, Group Captain Townsend, because he was divorced. Although morals have lapsed somewhat it will be interesting to see what happens when the time comes for him to become king.

Although public feeling is against her becoming queen Camilla cannot help but be one if Charles becomes king. This is unlike where a woman becomes queen as her husband becomes Queen's Consort. Believe me Camilla will be queen if Charles is king.

As far as the name 'Windsor' is concerned it will have been adopted by Camilla as it has by all the Royals. Their real name is 'Saxe-Coburg-Battenburg' since they are Germans, but when the first world war was coming they changed it to Mountbatten, which they thought sounded less German, and then to Windsor, which is where they lived, so as to sound more British and to stop anti-royal feelings.

Camilla's former husband, Andrew Parker-Bowles, is known as 'The man who laid down his wife for his country!' due to her adultery with Charles, his one time friend.

Parker-Bowles was her last husband's name. Her maiden name was Shand and she's now Windsor. She will be queen in all but name. I believe that she'll take another title. If you notice Prince Charles has many titles so rather than be known as The Princess of Wales, She's called the Duchess of Cornwall. I'm sure they find an ancient obscure title for her rather than Queen Camilla, should Charle's Mother die.

Charles' surname is Windsor,so that would be Camilla's name. She considers herself The Duchess of Cornwall, these days. She becomes Queen Consort automatically when Charles ascends to the throne. She will never be a ruling monarch, just the wife of a king, like Queen Elizabeth,The Queen Mother,Charles' beloved grandmother.

Camilla is now a Windsor by marriage, but it is impossible for her ever to become queen. The reason for this is that she is technically Queen-consort. It puts her in the same bracket as Prince Phillip, who is consort to the monarch, but can never be King.
Look back a generation at King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (the parents of the present queen). When King George died, Queen Elizabeth (the Queen Mum) did not take the throne because she was only Queen Consort. As there were no male heirs in sight, the daughter of Queen Elizabeth and King George was next to step up to the throne, and she became Queen Elizabeth II.
Technically, Parker Bowles remains part of Camilla's name, but in the wonderful world of royalty, all that is forgotten and she is now simply known as the Dutchess of Cornwall (I believe it is Cornwall) and Princes, Dukes and Dutchesses take their nomenclature from their estate - that is, Charles is the Prince of Wales, because he that is his estate, and when he was away at school, he was known as 'Wales' and referred to in that manner by his headmaster and his teachers. So Camilla is either called Camilla, or the Dutchess of Cornwall. When, and if, Charles ascends to the throne, he has declared that Camilla will not become Queen Camilla, but I wouldn't bet on it. First of all, not even Charles can unravel a thousand years of tradition, and secondly, I'll bet dollars to donuts, that Camilla herself yearns for the title of Queen, just so she can get even with all the people who referred to her as Charles' you-know-what for all the years that she actually was Charles' you-know-what.
Ain't royalty grand?
