CPR ( Cardiopulmonary Resuscatation )
One of the most startling ideas in the history of medicine was that "sudden death" could be reversed.
CPR CAN SAVE LIVES !
Any trained individual can perform CPR so your hard work and study can make a difference.
To inderstand how CPR can prevent death , let us look at two definitions of death.

CLINICAL Death means the heartbeat and breathing has stopped and "this death is reversible .

BIOLOGICAL Death is permanent brain death due to lack of oxyge , this death is irreversible .During the first few minutes , promptly initiated CPR may turn clinical death back to productive life. Without CPR , biological death will occur.

u start CPR only when the person's heart/lung have stopped working. CPR is a temporary means of circulating the blood until the heart and lungs start working again. basically the person is dead and u r trying to bring them back...u r not preventing death by performing CPR. also CPR may not work alone...may need medicines.

Lets be clear. if a persons heart stops you performing cpr to circulate blood and oxygen to prevent organ and brain death. that person is not going to get up like on tv from u performing cpr. u must have medicine and/or defib to bring that person back to life.

To prolong someone's life until essential life saving equipment arrives on scene. Defibrillator and what not. You do it when not breathing and no pulse.
