i didn't.. because i think they play the best !! and if france beat them that was by luck !! everybody saw it everybody knows it !! It's France's Luck !! I Really love the portugese squad :( they didn't deserve to be out of the WC they're one of the best !! Who cares about the 3-4 places??:S now everybody are expecting the final game!! Duhh:(:(:( Portugal Will always be the Champions for me!!!

I expected France to beat them because they're far more experienced than Portugal. You're right! Portugal has some really good players and are an attractive team as well but after Brazil and Germany crashed out ... I knew it would be Italy V France. You know Portugal will want to win 3rd place but they're in germany where the Germans are still reeling with Germany's defeat. Should Germany not win 3rd place ... There will be riots!!! So it will be really hard for Portugal as i daresay the atmosphere will be mega hard on them.

Oh excuse me but Portugal proved itself to be the team that didn't even deserve to qualify for the things they did in the match with the Netherlands. Usually they are the team who gets lucky (or gets to the penalties, i do agree that Ricardo is a great goalkeeper, loved what he did in the Euro semifinals a few years back when he scored a penalty and defended one with his bare hands). But them deserving more over France is way too much to say. I can understand being a fan for your own country, but feeling that somebody or something was unfair to your team is pure bullcrap. If they were good, the would have beaten France no matter what were the circumstances. Right now it seems that France are the team of the moment.

I am expecting portugal loosing the match,and I'm glad they lost. We are playing some game like fantasy footbal here and my friend just won about USD$1000, he choosed france&Italy players. I'm sure glad Portugal lost! By the way,you like the players' style or the way they played? as far as I'm concerned, they are tricky player, sly, diving and will do anything to get penalty, even the referee had been extra careful not to be fooled by them. And the attitude of one of the player, it's so annoying. How could he say he wants to go to Real Madrid when MU take such a great care for him? this is just absurd, childish, and...you can say rubbish!

Portugal was unlucky not to win , they had 2 good chances to score but missed both, well at least we are in the top 4 nations of football and that's great, we will do better in 2010 hopefully.- Viva Portugal viva.

I was expecting it.
Cheating only gets you so far. I only feel bad for the Dutch team, that was hideously cheated by Portugal. They just can't handle that kind of injustice and keep their composure well, so they keep losing to Portugal the same way. England vs. Holland would have been fun.
I knew that France, led by one of football's greatest players of all time, would know how to handle Portugal's bull****

Well,all I can say is Portugal Played a GREAT game, if it wasn't for Zidane's penalty claim shot, it will definitely end with penalty shots after extra time, anyway, France Defense Form was very good, and so is Portugal's. so, even though they lost, itr was a definite great game to be watched.

I wanted them to win, but I was kind of expecting this... France is damn strong this year and more experienced.... Portugal is a good team, but I still hope Germans will winn the 3rd place, I think they performed better this WC

portugal fought till the end and pay a lot of respect for the goalkeeper for forwading during the final minute. theres a huge different with winning and lose with honour. i prefer the 2nd one. it last longer.

really? france is really good! they beat brazil this year and brazil is a good team. i seriously was expecting germany vs. brazil in the finals this year, but with italy vs. france oh boy. italy improved alot this year so yeah, but with france vs. portugal i kinda expected portugal to go home :[ sorry bout that
