I do not quite understand why there is so much panic and objections about the test. (1) Many others have done so before and will do again. Why were there no so much reactions? (2) They did not target anyone, or did they? (3) And why does the U.S. seem more concerned than anyone else? They already have their arsenals and can have more if they need to. (4) Vast majority of countries are unconcerned. Should they? (5) Would North Korea attack anyone without being offended?... I don't get it!

North Korea has long been (according to US defence analysts) one of the likely countries to start a nuclear war. Other such include Pakistan currently and Russia during the time of the Cold War.

To answer your queries...

1) There has always been such an uproar.

2) No they havent yet targetted anyone but that could soon change. The last missile fell in the Sea of Japan. According to the treaty signed by japan, they have no major armed forces. Should they be attacked, the US is honour bound to defend them.

3)The US is concerned because in a nuclear war, everyone loses. Millions of civilians dead, earth water and air polluted, after effects of radiation for generations. They can destroy who attacked them, but they cant stop the attack.

4) it is a possibility because North korea is not a democratic republic. A handful of military individuals hold absolute power and we all know what that does. (it corrupts absolutely)

I think there is no panic, but grave concern. N. Korea has the 4th largest army in the world. They also have a leader that is crazy enough to start a world war with the U.S against them and Russia and China. This would be a terrible war with very few survivors. Do not think that this is not the concern of the rest of the world and the U.S does not stand alone.

Korea has attack others before. The new missile could hit the continental US. And Korea has nukes. They now have a way to attack us. Kim Jong II is a crazy dictator, and if you think he wont... He will.

The vast majority of nations are concerned. Especially ones near Korea. China, Japan, South Korea, Austrailia, Phillipines, and even Russia. Would you want a crazy neighbor to be pointing a gun out his window at you, and everyone else?

I didnt think so.

Japan was/is concerned too because the missile was suppose to fly over Japan.
North Korea is communist and they hate America's free capitalist society. They have missiles that supposedly can reach distances as far as Kansas City and Chicago (and surrounding areas).
The dictator of NK is pretty crazy and would attack.
Luckily the missiles fell out of the sky after only 46 seconds.

The USA and Noth Korea ae pretty much against each other. Out nation fears that NK might use weapons against our country in some way...the fact that they tested a missile that we have many of already and could easily beat them too the punch is very comforting news, but the fact that they are making weapons is not.

Didn't know we were panicked. Concerned maybe.. but not panicked. If you were at the zoo and the trainers all the sudden gave a monkey a loaded handgun...wouldn't you be "concerned". The U.S. is concerned because despite the fact you pointed out (our nuke arsenal and production capability) those things will be little consolation to the city that gets flash fried so little dictator platform shoes can try to reunify daddy's peninsula.

I lived in Korea for 13 months and talked to many Koreans who lived through the Korean war. If you could hear some of their stories, you would understand why so many people are concerned.

The panic is because their missiles can reach the west coast of the USA, unlike India or Pakistan's for example, most other nuclear countries are are allies, or not threatening any longer. Kim Il Sung has threatened the USA, and his instability makes it appear that he may indeed target the US one day.

They aren't very liked by alot of countries such as South Korea and the U.S. They are just trying to defend themselves and I don't believe they will ever use them unless attacked first.
