You have to get to a point where you REALLY believe in yourself more then what that other person has controlled you to believe and yes, I agree you need to get away from that person. I was in a relationship with someone in the media who manipulated me into staying with her and hhelping her care for her 2 year old daughter whom I adore. She warned me daily that I would regret leaving.. using her daughter as leverage, lieing about me behind my back and telling others TERRIBLE lies about me... That is when I realized I was in a form of slavery and bondage and needed to break free. I needed to believe that I could and WOULD be better without her in my life, even though I had no friends or fam here in this city. Love yourself! You can do it!!

A potential step in the right direction is to maintain 'absence' from your ex husband. Don't continue to get back together, or try again, or talk on the phonne or allow him to contine enough contact that he continues the manipulation. If you do, he will manipulate your current life as well, and everyone in it, and ruin opportunities to meet someone better. It has to be a complete cut-off, denying the manipulator of his weapon, and enabling you to survive on your own.

This would send any woman running and shrieking from these nuts. As you can plainly see, birds of a feather flock together and him and his mother are loons. He's got skeletons in his own closet that he doesn't want anyone to know about and I'd be singing like a canary and telling it and he can sweat that out and be on edge and all worriedly anxious wondering who is gonna find out what and when.

TIME AND FORGIVENESS. he has his own issues you don't see and he can't show. i lived with a man for 7 horrible years. he is now in prison and facing all his inner demons. come to find out he was just a lost scared little boy on the inside of a lashing out man. i hope he gets help, as for you stay away if he does not time is the best healer.
