There should be a thin membrane called a hymen that partially covers the vaginal opening. It looks different on everyone so it can be hard to recognise.
She may bleed after intercourse the first time.

Just ask her point blank. If she is honest, she will tell you the truth. If she lies, then I think it is also okay because you will not really be able to tell if she is still a virgin or not unless you have her checked out. :)
