Depending on what the lies are about...you either need to seek some sort of councelling, or just leave. You CAN live without him, tho it will be painful and very hard...it still will not be as hard as living with someone you can never trust because of all the lies. Its not worth it...try councelling, and then if that fails, at least give the relationship a break.

This is the type of thing I think needds to pass the "girlfriend test" which means "Would I let my girlfriend get away with this?" In this case I use "Lisa" as my best friend. What is he lying about? Is saying he's with the guys after work, then you find out the guys are all home? Would you let Lisa "get away" with that? Probably not, you'd call and say "Chica, we had plans then you broke them, but you lied about them and that's what bugs me" And if Lisa has a good explanation "I was running late, didn't think I could make it with you, had another opportunity, was going to call you because I kow you'd understand" Well, would you forgive? Blow it off recognizing everyone needs there own space or would you be pissed? I have found that we're MUCH more tolerable in how we let those "certain" guys (and guys I'm hoping you DON'T know who you are) get away with a lot more then we should. Then you have to go and addres that whole issue too, Am I scared to be alone? Is it comfortable or is it love? I want to have (or have had) his babies and ...All I can tell you from the girlfriend test is that if you're HONEST with yourself, you'll see you're WAY harder on Lisa than Todd (whatever). And if that's the case then you know what needs to be done, because if he's treating you so shabbily, he has no respect for you, the lies will get worse, thereby losing more respect for you, til the point where you're just one step up from a sock monkey and you've lost all respect for yourself too. Then the therapy, the shrinks, the pills, Eh GAdssss!

He keeps lying because he cannot for a second believe your lack of ability in spelling....

it depends on the lies which he makes that you should continue with him or not.who knows he also love you and make those lies not to hurt you but to make you happy.see, if he tells you afterwards that he was lying then he is true and loves you but if you get to know it not by him but by yourself then you should break your relationship with him.

look, i dont want to be butting in, but you deserve better. but since you love him, you need to talk to him, and if he loves you he;ll stop. if not, you need to move on. sorry its not what you want to hear, but you need to.
