Loving someone means that you care for them deeply and you'd do pretty much anything and being IN love with someone is overwhelming and wonderful you almost get lost in the feeling. yes they're close but not the same they're a different kind of bond. Such as parent to child is love but they aren't IN love with each other.

Well loving someone is similar to the love you would only give your parents or grandparents. It's that love that you know will always be there no matter what. Being in love with someone is the special bond that can only happen between two friends that leads up to an relationship it's the love that's not guaranteed to last very long. Examples would be dating, marriage and so on. Hope this helps you out.

Good question. I think that being "in love" with someone refers
to that first stage of infatuation when you get butterflies just
thinking of your beloved. I think it's a romantic notion. You can fall in love with someone/and out of love, too. Some lucky couples
remain "in love" until the day they die. They are soulfully bonded.

Other couples go through the "in love" fireworks stage and
settle into a more comfortable pattern of love. The mystery
is gone, but love remains. Comfortable as your favorite jeans.
Reliable and Forever. Still soulfully bonded.

The only other "in love" situation I've encountered is with
my children as babies. When I set my eyes on my son and
daughter for the first time, I was "in love". Now, I can say
that I love them. Soulfully bonded.

I love the line in The Eagles' song "In a New York Minute" where
it says that if you find someone to love you, "You'd better hang
on tooth and nail." Whichever way you find it "in love" or just
plain "love", it's a rare and very beautiful thing. :)

Good question. I have the answer. LOL You love your mother right? Being in love with someone is totally different than that mother/son bond. It is that feeling of happiness when your significant other steps into the room. You can love a friend. If you are in love with your friend, then you should tell them. LOL

Being in love means you are attracted to what you think are a person's good/sexy traits. This is the phase where you deny your lover has any bad traits. Loving someone means staying in the relationship after they've gained 50 lbs, or you find out they have just as many bad/unsexy traits as good ones.

there almost the SAME. being in love withsome one is knowing that there the one and all that jazz. when someone says that they love you but there not in love with you it means that the love you had before isnt there anymore and usually means they wan t out of the relationship, yet they'll have that spot in their hearts that youll forever stay.

There's not, unless you're referring to kids or something. When someone tells you they love you, they're just not IN love with you, they're just feeding you a line. It's a cop-out for "I think I can do better."
