I really do think that you should apply for a scholarsip abroad and go there!you know, many countries offer scholarships to students who show a keen interest in their culture(prticularly France) so why not try to see if you can a scholarship and travel.
You will thus be able to travel and also discover other cultures!Plus, if you are already in a European country, you will be able to easily go into the other countries through the different deals that the EU countries have signed!
So goodluck and keep discovering!

i also love the culture of other countries, but especially far east (asia). There's nothing like getting to know a culture by living in it like i did in Japan for 8 years for example, and visits all over the orient, too.

Thank you US Air Force.

Am I recommending a career in the Air Force/military? Definitely not. This is bad timing, unless you'd like to see Iraq culture, up close. And not unless you want to get busted for failing to separate your trash into plastic-paper-metal or who knows what insanity they'll level on the troops next? It's a weird, hard life with rules that number into insanity...i really mean insanity. Some people say it, but i mean it.

But if you could find work that enabled you to *live* overseas...that's the experience! Lots of people travel, and they spend a week or two here, or there, or a month, and think they've become traveled/experienced (the rest of us chuckle at that Ivy League notion).

Nothing can match dwelling in a country for years. If you really want to know a culture, take long breaths, big bites and get up close...

Perhaps you'd like to earn a Ph.d degree in History with a minor in Art appreciation. As a History Ph.d, you can delve into your passion of study, fall back on the art degree should things in history not pan out....and with a tenured job in a couple of dedicated years, teaching at some college--you'll earn a salary that will allow you to globe trot to all those countries you speak fluently in.

Well you mentioned HISTORY and ART. Have you considered being an Art History major in college? You can work in a museum, travel around the world, be an arts administrator, curator, art historian etc...

There is a test called, Myers Briggs take that test, and it will help you tell you what field of career you good at. I didn't even know I needed anything after to do after high school, my teachers used to tell me "If you don't get a high school diploma, you don't get a job", so I was very occupied getting my high school diploma and NOT preparing for college.
