How long will it take by bus, and how much?

How do I get there from Triplicane? Which bus? Any idea from where I should board the bus? Timings? Route?
I'm not a chennai citizen as yet! :)

It is around 14 Kms from Velacherry to Triplicane via Tharamani, Adayar, Pattinapakkam (Foreshore Estates), Santhome and ICE House (Vivekananda house). More or less this way is traffic less, except for the stretch between Adayar and Santhome. From Santhome to Triplicane it is thorugh the Beach Road. (A nice road to ride through). Velacherry and Triplicane both comes under Chennai corporation limits.

Triplicane is a neighbourhood of Chennai in India. Velachery is in the suburbs of Chennai.

its nearly 16kms, and there are lot of bus from Vijayanagar Bus stand which is in Velachery. the cost would be somwhere around 5 to 10 rs. and the time may be 1 hr the max....
