I want a software tool to solve Eigenvalue problem. Can anyone help?

You might try the Mathematica Calc Center 3...It supposedly functions like a calculator but is simpler than Mathematica Software. The link is below

If you are interested in Linux: There is a nifty piece of software called Octave--which is supposedly similar to Matlab

maple is a good program to use. there are free downloads for 30 days. you could also try using a TI-89 or a TI-92.

MATLAB is a good tool for stuff like that but it is not freeware!
