The wife can either collect her late husbands SS or her own. The wife cannot collect her husbands SS until she is retirement age.
If they have children, the children can collect off of the deceased parents SS until they become legal age.

When my dad died in January and all was said and done, my mother received an additional $11.00/month in SS benefits. You do NOT collect your SS and his SS.
$11.00!!!!!! You work your entire life only to have your loved ones get screwed by the government.

Yes, you would be entitled to your husbands SS, and you would get his amount if he made more than you made.
