The ground shaking causes the most damage because it can result in extensive damage, or destruction of buildings, bridges, and roads, rupture gas lines (causing fires), downing electric lines and pretty much causing havoc.
P.S. I can go for CNN and the insurance company answers too. They truly are pests.
