right. The typed out address goes to a DNS server somewhere and takes the name you typed and finds its IP address of that website. Then it connects the website to you without you being none the wiser.

Would you want to rephrase the question? To visit anything you need to know its location. Just as you need a house address to visit someone in physical world, you need a web address to visit a website in virtual world. (If thats what you were looking for)
