~~the easiest way to delete your cookies, cache and temporary internet files safely is to download the advanced browser, go to tools, go to clear records, go to clear all records, it iwll ask you want to do this tell it yes then tell it ok, then go back to tools, go to internet options, click the delete cookies button, it will ask you if you are sure tell it yes, then click the delete files button.. this deletes your temporary internet files, it will ask you if you are sure tell it yes, then click ok... next go to your my computer icon, open it up right click on your c-drive go to disk clean up, check all the boxes in the white area,, click ok, it will ask you if you want to delete these things tell it yes, and close that up. (the advanced browser and the avant browser both work the same for deleting the cookies and cache and temporary internet files) your computer should run faster after that. i would also recommend if you don't have it to add adaware, and a regestryfix program. i have a full version i can email you if you like of the regestry fix, and adaware is free. if you want the regestry fix, let me know where i can send it to you.

the avant and advanced browsers are both faster than internet explorer, they both have built in pop up blockers, they both are free, and best yet, all of your favorites that you have bookmarked in internet explorer will already be in your advanced and avant browser, so you don't loose any of your favorites. also in the browser options is a place that will automatically put your favorites into alpha order making it easier to locate what you are looking for. good luck~~

short answer: Yes, you can safely delete cookies from your web browser.

long answer: the cookies from some sites store your preferences, previous order info, even your address or a password. Once all cookies are deleted, you may need to re-input some information on some sites. No cookies are essential, but some are convenient. Most are relatively harmless. It's a simple way for sites to store info about you (that you gave them) on your computer for retrieval next time you visit that site.
Cookies shouldn't slow down your computer. Spyware generally doesn't use cookies, though some adware does. Deleting all cookies may reduce the number of popup windows you get, but switching to a browser (like Firefox) that blocks popups is a better way to fix that.

Yes, you can safely delete all cookies just make sure you remember all your passwords to sites were you have automatic log-ins because they will be deleted. I don't think it will speed up the computer but should cut down on spyware and adware. Also think about getting a program such as Ad-Aware (free for personal use) to help protect against malicious software being placed on your computer.

Deleting cookies just clears your internet history trail on websites you've visited. Perfectly safe to delete cookies. But no, deleting cookies doesn't protect your computer from spyware. To stay protected from spyware you need to downlooad a program called Ad-aware, or Spybot Search & Destroy. Or just buy Norton Antivirus 2006which will help protect against spyware and viruses

Yes u can safely delete cookies from your computer. It is generally safe to do so on a regular basis. If you need the info from a cookie u will be prompted to retype a password or something like that. Some Web sites store your member name, password, or other personal information in a cookie, so if you delete that cookie, you may need to re-enter this information the next time you visit the site.

Cookies are just small pieces of information that are put onto your computer, usually for tracking purposes. Lots of them are harmless, but there are some that are malicious.

Simple English: Yes, they're safe to delete.

You are not stupid, you just don't know. Yes, you can delete cookies safely. Just go to your internet options and select "delete cookies". After doing that, delete your temporary internet files by clicking "delete temporary internet files". That should slean up some of the junk on your computer and help it to run faster.
