Actually, he didn't. There were people here already, you know. Yeah, i know, i know. You didnt write "discovered".

Ok, if he didnt "find" this land (it wasn't America then, you know), then perhaps the Europeans would not be here. The Indians would rule, and the spanish wouldn't have went to even further places like the Philippine Islands.

But eventually someone would have found it. BTW, Columbus only made it as far as the Indis, he never made the mainland.

NINIERFANINSA IS ABSOLUTLY RIGHT HOW CAN YOU DISCOVER SOMEWHERE WHEN THERE ARE ALREADY PEOPLE HERE. BESIDES LIEF ERICKSON DID IT YEARS BEFORE UP IN CANADA. AT LEAST HE GOT ONTO THE CONTINENT.
IF ERICKSON, COLUMBUS OR WHOM EVER DIDN'T FIND THIS LAND FROM THE EUROPEON POINT OF VIEW THEN SOMEONE ELSE WOULD HAVE.
MY YOU ASK A LOT OF QUESTIONS IN ONE HERE.
THE INDIVIDUAL STATES RIGHT WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH LARGER IF THE SOUTH HAD WON. THIS IS WHAT TAHT WAR WAS ABOUT IN THE FIRST PLACE. THE ISSUE OF SLAVERY CAME LATER.
MY GREAT GRAND FATHER AND GREATGRANDMOTHER PROBABLY WOULD HAVE MARRIED ANYWAY. HE WAS AN IRISH GUY BORN IN MISSOURI IN 1862 NAMED JEFFERSON DAVIS. SHE WAS AN APACHE INDIAN WOMAN NAMED ELIZABETH TAYLOR.
YOU WOULD HAVE PROBABLY BEEN BORN. NO ONE HAD BEEN ABLE TO STOP INTER-RACIAL MARRIAGES THROUGHOUT HISTORY.

North America had been "discovered" by the vikings, the Pacific islanders and the Chinese long before Chris came around.

your final correction is correct. Columbus never discovered America. Are you aware that Columbus was a slaver? Many blacks from Africa and the islands near America died because of him. Who , other than the Norsemen discovered America?

eventually some other european explorer would have "discovered" the americas and exploited it the same way the colonial powers did...

so, it might not have turned out much different.
