Take a beach umbrella, a chair, a picnic lunch -- sandwich, cheese and crackers, fruit, sparkling water. Bring a book. Sit at the tide line and watch the sea birds. Read your book. Listen to the waves. Snack on your lunch. Take a walk up and down the beach and watch all the people playing in the surf.
