He took my car to a shop and they messes it all up , now I need a new engine and the whole thing is the guys that fixed my car or so called fixed it are family friends of his and he dosen't want to make them pay to fix it what should i do ?

If it's been 8 months he's not going to do it automatically by himself. Hassle him about it. If he still won't do it, you have a flake for a boyfriend and chalk the car as a total loss.

First go get a new car, or another car that is in good shape. Second, go get yourself a new boyfriend because yours seems to be missing some equipment. Third, don't ever take your car to that place again.
