I'm not sure where you're located, but if you can find a PoFolks restaurant, they're AWESOME. The food is very reasonably priced, there's a lot of it, and it's incredibly tasty. They have everything from Fried Chicken Salad to Country Fried Steak to Okra or Green Beans... and I still drool over memories of their Mississippi Mud Pie!!!
ps - the food is much better than even the website could describe!

There is a Cici's pizza that opened in Sterling Heights. It is a great place to take kids. It's cafeteria pizza with salad, pasta and dessert. They have ton's of different kinds of pizza to chose from. You could take a family of four there and eat all you want for 10 bucks! (no joke)

I wish I could recommend some awesome place, but I will tell you that I end up sharing most main dinners with my hubby. We can always order dessert or salad too if we're super hungry. Even so it ends up costing much less than 2 dinners & desserts. The portions most places serve now are incredible.

If you like chinese and all you can eat at a GREAT price and no health department violations then Jets buffet in Mt Clemens, Mi. on Gratiot is the place to go.
