Way to go man! I agree with everything you said. Wrestling IS fake and it's an open secret. It takes a lot of strength, power and endurace (and all the other stuf that comes with it) to be a wrestler. It may seem easy if you say that they're actors but I would like the critics to smash a barbed wire into their face and see whether they live to fight another day! It's not just guys who are addicted to it but even many gals are!

I was at King of the Ring in Pittsburgh in 1998 and got to see the infamous Hell in the Cell match between the Undertaker and Mankind firsthand. Those guys do deserve respect. They are probably some of the hardest working athletes in any sport and I'm not afraid to say it. They really do a lot to damage their bodies and put themselves at incredable risk for injuries. There is no off season for wrestling. Every week they are out there and now with ECW added to the weekly list of shows, and not to mention the PPV's, those guy's seem to never get a break. I have to say though that since the WCW has been gone, I think that the story line has really gone downhill. I think it used to be better when Vince McMahon had some competition. I would constantly channel surf between WWF and WCW. The NWO was great and now with the reformation of DX I have some hope. I liked the girls a lot better when they would actually wrestle too. The eye candy was reserved for managing like Miss Elizabeth and Sable. I can only take so much weekly bra & panty matches. Mickie James and Lita are good but don't have much competition. I also don't like how they separated the monday and friday wrestlers. There are a lot of people I hope to see again, like the Macho Man, and Chris Jericho has always been one of my favorites. I don't think I've ever seen a boring Jericho match and his mic skills were great too. They need to put more effort into the tag teams also. Remember how big the Rock-N-Roll Express and the Hart Foundation was? What about the 4-Horsemen? They were a great love to hate team. Hiring that guy from MTV, "The Miz", has taken them down a few notches in my book. I hope for the sake of wrestling something changes for the better. It will be a sad day to watch it self-destruct. I don't know if it will ever be as good as the mid 80's to the late 90's, but I'll keep hoping.

Not sure there's a question in there, but I have to agree with you. Except that I think they should sh**-can the WWE and start all over. The story lines are lame, there are no real female wrestlers anymore, rivalries change at every ppv, and who wants to see Vince McMahon in a thong?! I miss the old days of wrestling, from the famed rivalry of the Big Boss Man and the Mountie up to the NWO and the Wolfpack. Anything after that was pure sh**.

Finally someone writes something that makes sense. I've been a wrestling fan since I was about 3. The first match I saw was Hulk Hogan vs The Iron Shiek back in late 85 or early 86.

I totally agree, wrestling is not really fake though, it's fixed, yeah some of punches are fake, and they use razors to create blood, but to get injuries you have to be hit...duh...so i agree, people say why do you watch something to fake...they same way people watch movies...do you think jumping off a building in a movie is real!!!

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent posting were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this site is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I just find it disturbing that men like to look at sweaty, muscle-bound guys in next to no clothing so much. It's cool that you accept that it's fake and all. But when a guy walks out in jazzed up underwear, and everyone cheers, it's weird. I see why guys watch it for the nearly naked women, but there's a lot more men on there. And I can't respect something that weirds me out, so my apologies to you, sir.

Hi,
I think you might be right when saying it is fake but the wrestlers are best atlethes in the world.
However I still need other proof that it is fake before believe it really is...
