I prefer it when my answer gets chosen as the best by the asker. They have something to say back to you and you really know that they thought your answer was the best. Voters don't really read all the answers and you sometimes only get voted by one person and that's kinda boring. Anyway, if i get voted for the best answer, then cool - its not such a big deal to me.

I like it more when the best answer was chosen by the asker. It feels more fair that way. It is not as if we do not spend some time to read through their question and respond to it in our best capacities so the least they can do, is choose one which they feel answered their question well. I do not even mind if it was not me, as long as the asker made a decision, fine by me.

i'd truly get chosen by using the asker because that is extra own even as finished by using the asker as I many times seem ahead to the remark by using the asker. even as the community votes it that is helpful even if that's so impersonal to me. inspite of the actuality that i will take a best answer even if i visit get them because that is nonetheless a best answer on the full of the day.

I like to see the asker answer but sometimes the answers should do it if say they can't decide what to do and that way they can explore the nswers the audience thinks it best. say a lady wants to know what to do in her marriage but she can't decide with all the answers then let it go to vote and you'll know what many think. get the point. I prefer the answerer when possible but do understand reasons they dont. hope this helps.

I think it's just plain laziness!! After all, if I take the time to answer someone's question, the least he/she can do is take the time to read my answer!!! I can understand letting it go to the vote if the asker thinks there is no best answer, but he/she should at least leave a comment to that effect.

well relly maybe the asker, did not know what the best answer was, maybe they were all wrong, and as the asker they were unsure,so then its thrown open to get a broader opinion no doubt a few might do it to get a point, but i expect they would rather get two point for a one word answer as many do,so as you can only answer so many questions each day i think they would go for two but how else are you going to do it,the only relly fare way would be for yahoo to have a pannel who had a good iq and for the panel to choose.

i prefer the asker to pick the best answer as well. the only time i don't like the asker choosing is when they didn't actually WANT an answer to their question but instead they just wanted someone to agree with their opinion. just makes me wonder why they asked in the first place.

If there are only 3 answerer's, then I feel so used (-.-), but if there were over 20 responses it could have confused the questioner so that's okay if it goes up for voting. It's like 'lets ask the audience'.

I don't like it either and it is hard to pick just one. So I put names in a cup........
It's better then not picking a best.
I don't think they do look when voting. I have gotten best before and they were some dumb answers I gave. Like I was the 1st to answer and I put yes or no. I got best for that???
They aren't looking!

sometimes the asker didn't get the answer he/she wanted..as such, there's no point in voting any answer as best answer...it's then best to leave it to the voters to decide which is the best answer....
