Consult a physician and ask for options.
Do not trust condoms alone if you are serious about waiting to have children.
Your doctor will be able to explain all the different methods of birth control, including the patch, which might be a viable alternative for you.

there are many kinds of pills and they are not all the same. i used to take some that made me an evil bitc# and i changed brands and im fine now.theres even ones that you only have a period once every 3 months ! how cool would that be? i think IUD"s are pretty safe and reliable these days too and can be used monthly or for 5 years . do some internet research on the many different kinds of birth control then talk to your doc. Its fine for you to wait for chlidren. if thats how you feel plz do wait until you are really ready! best of luck.and congrts

I WOULD BE TALKING TO MY DR. ABOUT SOME KIND OF BIRTH CONTROL THAT IS RIGHT FOR ME. DEALING WITH A FEW SIDE EFFECTS OR TAKING AN INJECTION IS ALOT EASIER THEN HAVING A CHILD. ONE OF THE BIGGEST MISTAKES A COUPLE CAN MAKE IS GETTING PREGNANT RIGHT AWAY.
