What age is acceptable depends on what society you were raised in...being raised on the East Coast of America (New England) I'd say 15 or 16 is acceptable depending on the maturity level of those involved.
My age when I lost my virginity? 7 years old with an 11 1/2 year old girl; her idea, not mine, but I wan't unwilling. However, I waited until I was 16 or so before I "did it" again just because I wanted a relationship to go with it.

Virginity is so precious to lose! I am not being naive to acknowledge that we all make this same mistake as teens. Then afterwards we realise that we shouldn't have, with all the feelings of hurt and self delusion we have to pass through for loosing our pride too cheaply. Again so many things follow up our loss of virginity - we become exploratory in our quest to get fulfilled, etc. All these exposes us to serious danger to our lives which includes STDs and most dangerously, AIDS. We also lose our close relationship with GOD, and if we die in this situation without reconciling ourselves with God through His Son Jesus Christ, we expose ourselves to dangers of HELL.
Time there was when in my culture, the blood-stained white handkerchief, is the pride of the newly wedded wife and honour to the family she came from. HOW TIME PASSES!

31 female havent lost it yet. Why do we think it's ok for a little girl and a little boy to lose they're virginity. I'm kind of shocked at some of the answers i read. Yes i'm old school. There's nothing wrong with that.

I'm a male and the age of 12 suited me just fine. Had I known it would be so enjoyable,I might have done it sooner!

i think this is one of those stereotypical ideas of our generation. There is no certain age. don't give it away so willingly. Isn't it nice to save it for someone who you know won't leave you?

old school ..and i was 13... what age depends on the person-- and unlike whn i was young---dont forget safe sex --there are some real nasty cootys out there now
