What do you think about J-pop and J-rock ?(Japanese pop and Rock music)?

Have you heard of it? Do you like it? What it represents to you?
How are your favorites atrist and why?

I love J-Rock and J-Pop. I think one of things I like about it is that eventhough I dont' understand the lyrics its about the melody and the beats.

And isn't that what music is about ?

Younha, Yui, Orange Range, No Regret Life, and FLOW are some of my favourites. Rie Fu is pretty good too. I love how most Japanese artist actually have talent and their songs seem to have meaning even though I hardly understand what they're sing about. Despite the artists' often bizarre appearance, antics, and music videos, I positively adore J-Pop and J-Rock.

I know I risk sever punishment from the metal and rock Gods.....but I like J-pop. Unlike other pop (mainly US) the singers can actually sing, and their voices sound beautiful. Mostly, I listen to songs from Inuyasha. I have Inuyasha: Theme Song Collection, and Best of Inuyasha 2. I also like Cruel Angel Thesis from Neon Genesis.

But what I really want is hard rock/heavy metal bands from Japan.

I like J-Pop, but it's simply another flavor like chocolate, vanilla or strawberry. My favorite bands are:

The only J Pop artists I know are Ami and Yumi my niece likes them

I love it, as it represents that all cultures follow the same basic guidelines in everything. I don't have my favourite artist, but my favourite song is: "Wild Ride".

I'm not a big fan because I like to know what people are saying. I like some anime sound tracks, though.
