Prada is a brand of expensive shoes... so I guess it means the devil has good taste in shoes? Maybe? IDK. LOL.

Oh, they also do handbags, belts and other things made out of leather... see you really do learn something new every day. :-)

The Devil is the boss in the story, and she's the boss of a fashion magazine, therefore wears fancy clothes, such as clothing made by the brand Prada.

I think the title means that the 'devil' got to wear 'Prada', literally. But the 'devil' in this movie is not Miranda (the boss), but Andy (Anne Hathaway's character) who's gone to the 'dark side'. Miranda is more like the representation of that 'dark side' and she's literally dragged and created a 'devil' in the person of Andy. In the latter part of the story, Andy realized that. She realized that she's been doing so much to the job that she used to mock and she became one of them. Worst is, she left anything (including her boyfriend) because of her love for that job. In short, the title means something like a person who's got the taste of 'wealth and luxury' to the point that that person UNCONSCIOUSLY learned to 'step on other people'. More specifically, the title literally means 'Andy wears Prada'. And oh, 'Prada' by the way is the representation of that 'luxurious life and fame and wealth'. I think I became a 'devil' myself after watching this movie. Gotta buy me some Valentino. 😉

The main character is someone who will take your life away from you for her own gain, use you and abuse you and then taunt you with materialism and wealth, once striping you from all those and that which has importance to you she will throw you away, never caring about destroying your heart and soul. She is draped in the disguise of high fashion (Prada being the designer of choice) and what the world thinks is important. Therefore portraying herself to be what she thinks everyone wants but truth be she is the devil, destroying everyone and everything around her.

Two reasons...One is because the editor of the high-fashion magazine is absolutely HENIOUS. She sends her assistants on all of these strange assignments and treats them like crap. Anyhow. She does it all while looking good, and prefers to wear Prada.

The other is because the movie is about how getting so involved in work can really take...'your soul' or whatever you want to call it. The main character ends up getting so wrapped up in work that she forgets what matters to her.

I think she's fascetiously saying that her boss is THE DEVIL
incarnate.

(And her boss wears Prada. Prada is an extremely expensive
design house like Channel or Fendi. Her boss is a total
NIGHTMARE! to work for.)

I thought Prada was designer clothing. The characater's boss is a devil to work for as well as ridiculing her for her lack of fashion sense.
